Choir

At SqHS we are serious about our music making and it shows. We have 5 choirs all with different specialties and functions.

Mixed choir: Non auditioned and a  lot of fun. Here students learn the fundamental elements of using the voice as an instrument and learn how to put on a great show.

Choraliers: An auditioned group of all female vocalists. This choir provides a unique experience for young women to continue to develop there technique and perform very specialized Repertoire that is special for women.

Concert Choir: An auditioned singing ensemble of 40-50 upperclassmen. This group does advanced choral repertoire and requires some choral experience before admission to this high caliber group.

Storm Singers: The most advanced choral group at SqHS. To be in this group requires enrolment in Concert Choir and previous singing experience. This group consists of 25 dedicated vocalists that rehearse before school form 6:40-7:30 every day and perform all around the community. We perform a wide range of repertoire from traditional to jazz and popular styles.
