GRAHAM MORIN WRESTLING TOURNAMENT |
![]() |
Graham Baker Morin |
Graham Morin was a three-time Washington State Wrestling Champion and a two-time all-American. Graham wrestled both for Bellingham High School as well as Squalicum. In his four-year wrestling career, he accumulated a record of 115 wins to only 15 losses. Graham Morin was also know for his excellent academics and sportsmanship. He was a quiet, hard-working, and dedicated student/athlete who was very determined to succeed. Graham’s humility showed through in every aspect of his life.
Graham died suddenly during wrestling practice in his freshman year at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, of a heart abnormality. This tournament is held to remember Graham for what he truly loved to do — wrestle. Graham’s leadership and human qualities left a great impact on those around him. This wrestling tournament allows us to take one weekend in dedication of such an outstanding young man whose short life was so full of wonderful memories.
Donations are being accepted at concessions for the Graham Baker Morin Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a Washington state scholastic athlete who plans to continue wrestling in college. There are also $500 one-year scholarships at both Highline and Yakima Valley Community Colleges.
