Multilingual Learners (ML)

Multilingual Learner program is intended to support students learning to use English to express themselves. All students should attain foundational skills, particularly in grammar, spelling and basic pronunciation. They learn to use English in everyday situations and for functional purposes, such as giving directions, information or instructions and making requests.

 The WIDA assessment is given annually.

Multilingual Learner courses

These courses are intended to support new English learners. Credits completed through the ELL Department for graduation will vary depending on the English skills of each student. All students are required to complete 3.5 credits of English for graduation.
